• Yves Beck bewertete (04/2026) Château Angélus 2025 wie folgt: " Es ist eindeutig die Frische des Cabernet Franc, die das Bouquet dominiert … und das ist ein ausgezeichnetes Omen für den Merlot, denn es erlaubt ihm, dort zu glänzen, wo er es gewohnt ist, jedoch mit Zurückhaltung – durch Nuancen reifer schwarzer Beeren, milder Gewürze und Lakritz. Der Auftakt, zunächst etwas eingeschüchtert von diesem imposanten Bouquet aus Frische und Vielschichtigkeit, zeigt sich filigraner. Er hebt zunächst die vorhandene Frische hervor, bevor er die Führung an Eleganz und Präzision übergibt. Diese beiden Elemente bereiten ruhig und effizient den Boden. So profitiert der Wein von der subtilen Unterstützung durch Tannine, die sich allmählich entfalten und am Gaumenende an Kraft gewinnen, während die Säurestruktur ihre durchsetzungsstarke Art kanalisiert. Es geht darum, Einklang zu schaffen und Balance zu erzeugen. Diese Harmonie ist offensichtlich und ausgereift, denn die Wirkung lässt nicht lange auf sich warten. So sind die Verhältnisse zwischen Temperament, Fülle, Charme und Lebendigkeit von seltener Stimmigkeit. Es gibt viele Elemente, aber nie zu viele; es gibt eine ungeheure Kraft und eine mitreißende Säure – vor allem aber ein außergewöhnliches Gleichgewicht, das Gegensätze vereint und sie zu einer beglückenden Einheit führt! Ein tiefgründiger Wein, der seine Energien meisterhaft bündelt und die notwendigen Grundlagen legt, um einen großen Wein anzukündigen. Ein Angélus, der zu sich steht, seine Authentizität betont und nicht darauf aus ist, zu betören – er will überzeugen, begeistern und jeden dazu einladen, ihn zu hören, zu interpretieren und zu lieben. • The Wine Palate bewertete (04/2026) Château Angélus 2025 wie folgt: "Deep garnet-purple in color, the 2025 Angélus cascades out of the glass with flowing scents of fresh blackberries, red currant preserves, and lilacs, giving way to fragrant suggestions of rose bud tea, crushed rocks, garrigue, and forest floor. The medium- to full-bodied palate is a vortex of energy, delivering swirling black, red, and blue fruit notes with floral accents, supported by super-fine-grained tannins and a lively line of freshness, finishing very long with lots of mineral and chalky sparks. • Decanter bewertete (04/2026) Château Angélus 2025 wie folgt: "A great wine from Angélus this year. Blackcurrant and blue fruit aromas with some dried flowers and soft herbal aspects. Round and generous, wide and filling with amazing definition and creamy texture that few wines have this year. Energy and depth, purity and focus – this is juicy at its core with strawberry and red cherry, mouthwatering. Not an immediate showstopper but this grows in flavour and depth with intensity but no heaviness. Beautiful delineation with a sharp, precise, forward persistence. The energy and balance is flawless. Really an elegant, elongated wine with such nuance of flavour. I love this and think they've done a super job – juicy, this brings a smile to your face. The last vintage with this high a proportion of Cabernet Franc (reflecting plantings and similar berry size was 2014 and 1995). 3.6pH. A yield of 30hl/ha. 50% Cabernet Franc ageing in foudres, 50% in new barrels; Merlot 70% new oak and 30% in one-year-old barrels.." - 97 Punkte
• The Drink Business bewertete (04/2026) Château Angélus 2025 wie folgt: "It's the salinity here and the rocky minerality that I hone in on first. Then the Cabernet Franc starts to build, rising up through the space afforded to it by the Merlot frame. This is mirrored on the palate. I love this in the mouth, with that vivid and dynamic cedar-enrobed Bouchet (with its notes of blueberry, cassis and a lovely slightly green herbal element) swirling up through the Merlot. So juicy, so lithe, so plump and so plush in its crunchy fruit personality, the details picked out by the pixelating limestone tannins. This is almost pointilist in its extremely articulate expression of great terroir. Very dynamic and energising! Superb. A truly great vintage of Angélus" - 97-99 Punkte
