- Jeff Leve bewertete (04/2026) Château Larcis Ducasse 2025 wie folgt: "Black cherries, plums, violets, licorice, espresso, caramel, black raspberries, licorice, and a hint of mint pop in the nose. Creamy, opulent, sweet, powerful, and also fragrant, fresh, and light on its feet. The palate is drenched in fruits, accompanied by a mineral essence that adds in the length, and the vibrancy to the long, intense finish. One of the wines of the vintage, this is in contention for the best vintage ever produced in the history of Larcis Ducasse. The wine blends 90% Merlot with 10% Cabernet Franc. 13.8% ABV. 3.5 pH. Harvesting took place September 10 - September 19. Yields were 40 hectoliters per hectare. Aging is taking place in a combination of New, French oak barrels, 500 liter barrels, and foundres. Drink from 2030-2065." - 98-100 Punkte
- 96-98 Punkte
- The Drink Business bewertete (04/2026) Château Larcis Ducasse 2025 wie folgt: "Wow, wow and wow (for each of the times tasted!). This is incredibly beautiful and seems to capture a haunting, seductive charm that I have never before seen here, even from the 2024 vintage which starts to redefine what Larcis is in the process of becoming. The perfect expression of its white clay Côte Pavie terroir. Lilac and violet, rose petal and rose water, a hint of black tea leaf and gracious, plump and perfectly pixelated detailed berry fruits – as if painted by a micro-pointillist! A touch of cedar but, like the rest, so delicate and well-integrated. Sinuous and aerial at the same time: I'm in raptures. Certainly, for me, the best vintage ever from here. Shockingly good, if that's not too vulgar a thing to say about a wine so elegant and pure.," - 98-100 Punkte
- Jeb Dunnuck bewertete (05/2026) Château Larcis Ducasse 2025 wie folgt: "A Merlot-heavy blend of 90% Merlot and 10% Cabernet Franc, the 2025 Château Larcis Ducasse sports a dense purple hue as well as incredible aromatics of ripe currant and black cherry fruit intermixed with smoky tobacco, graphite, and crushed stone. Aged in a mix of 225-liter barriques (45%), 500-liter demi-muids (40%), and foudres (15%), it checks in at 13.8% alcohol with a pH of 3.5. Deep, rich, and full-bodied on the palate, it has a broad, layered mouthfeel, ripe, velvety tannins, and a great finish. It might end up being in the top handful of wines in the vintage." - 97-99 Punkte
- Alexandre Ma bewertete (05/2026) Château Larcis Ducasse 2025 wie folgt: "Having seen how Château Larcis Ducasse handled drought in the 2022 vintage, I approached 2025 with complete confidence. Still, the moment I heard “40 hl/ha,” I could not help but pause in astonishment. On entry, the wine spreads slowly like a layer of fine cream, gently filling every corner and smoothing every contour. This texture reflects the character of its hillside terroir, where clay-rich limestone plays a defining role. The aromatics are ripe yet restrained, with not a trace of excess. Cherry and blood orange collide in bright, ringing bursts, while iris and clove powder seem to dance together, carrying the joyful spirit of a warm vintage. As the wine draws to a close, a saline-tinged violet note begins to emerge, and in the mind’s eye appears a limestone corridor lined with violets, leading the senses toward a deep, unseen realm." - 97-98 Punkte
- A. Galloni bewertete (05/2026) Château Larcis Ducasse 2025 wie folgt: "The 2025 Larcis Ducasse is another exceptional wine from one of the most under-the-radar estates in Saint-Émilion. Dark red-fleshed fruits, rose petal, lavender, mocha, licorice, sage and graphite are all seamless in the glass. The 2025 marries power with finesse to a degree that is exceptionally rare. Lively acids and lifted floral overtones brighten the long, resonant finish. The 2025 spent 23-24 days on skins, a bit shorter than most years. Élevage takes place in 40% French oak barrels, 40% 500-liter barrels and 20% 25-hectoliter foudre. Wines from clay-based soils tend to be raised in barrique to soften them, while wines from limestone-rich soils are naturally more delicate and typically aged in larger-format wood. Larcis was one of the first properties in Bordeaux to introduce large-format wood, a choice that works so well for this site and these wines. This is a stellar effort from Technical Director David Suire, who has been at the helm since 2022. Tasted three times. ." - 95-97 Punkte
